A lodging where you can feel secure and safe
Experience the rich natural and historical culture of Miho-ko.
We can help you create memories.

Established in 1938, Miho-kan is a ryokan located in Miho-koen on the eastern tip of the island of Shimane, which is rich in nature.

This quiet harbor town surrounded by nature and mountains, facing Oyamazaki Bay and Miwa Bay, has a history and culture that have been passed down since ancient times as a vital hub for maritime transportation.

At Miho-kan, we are dedicated to helping you create memories that can only be experienced at Miho-kan.

Features of study trip and seminar camp at Miho-Kan

  1. 1 Interaction with local residents

Staying in Miho-kanko naturally allows you to interact with the local residents. The fishermen from the fishing boats preparing to depart, the grandma from the dried fish shop drying the fish, and the local residents guiding tourists. The residents of Miho-kanko will all greet you warmly and cheerfully. Getting away from your family and interacting with the local community is an incentive to increase your independence and social skills.

  2. 2 Nature and history that nurture a rich sense of morality

Nature and history nurture emotions and minds. Miho-koen is a fishing town surrounded by the sea and mountains, where you can feel the power and beauty of nature. There is also Miho Shrine with a long history, as described in the Izumo Fudosugi (History of Izumo). I believe that by sharing the meaning of religion and participating together, we can have an opportunity to think about life.

  3. 3 Beautiful Misojin where you can spend your time with peace of mind

Miho-kanko, located at the eastern end of the Shimane Peninsula on the Rias coast, is a compact town with only one entrance and exit. It is a difficult place to get into even from the town center. On the other hand, it is a safe place where you can live with a reassuring group of friends.
